Basic Tips

Airport Transfer.

There is an option to go from the airport to the city by bus. It goes all along the coast and takes about 1 hour to get to the center of Nha Trang. Ticket price: about USD 2.50.

Taxis.

Use the Grab (e-taxi) app to move around the city. It’s cheaper than a regular taxi.

Weather.

The best time to visit Nha Trang is between January and August. Outside this period there’s the rainy season.

Accommodation.

You should find accommodation for a better price, if you move a bit away from the coast. Not only you should get a better price but you should also be in a nicer place.

Little Russia.

This is a popular tourist destination for Russians. At times you may feel in Russia, many shops have signs in Russian. And looking like Westerners, people often spoke to us in Russian as well.

Local Culture.

Get as far away from the coast as possible to find some authentic Vietnamese culture. Far from the coast, there are only low houses, you do not see mass tourism and there are the best food stalls.

Foodie.

Best Pho in Nha Trang.

Po Nagar.

Visit Po Nagar Cham Towers. They were build by the Cham empire between the 8th and 11th centuries. It’s a very interesting and well-kept place. It’s located on a mountain from where there are stunning views. Ticket price: VND 22000 (USD 1).

Long Son Pagoda.

Discover Long Son Pagoda, also known as Chua Long Son. It’s a temple located at the foot of the Trai Thuy mountain. The main attraction of the place are the 2 giant Buddha figures surrounded by the tranquility of nature.

Beach.

As a beach destination, it’s really bad. You have to go far from the center to find a beach where there are not too many people and where the beach is a little less dirty. There is a lot of garbage in the sea too.
